There are many mythic death moves in martial arts movies - you know, the ones where a small, inocuous poke or twist of a nerve sets off a chain reaction that eventually proves fatal. Aotea seem to have honed the sonic variation of this - the songs starts, they blur and something strikes you in the solar plexus. As the song finishes you have just enough time to turn to those next to you and ask "What th..." before your mind relents and lets you have the last 1:30/2:00 minutes back before denying all responsibility.

Within that blackout Aotea package mathcore, punk and screetch then bend time in on itself so it seems like it never happened. If your ears could blink they would've missed it.
